Startups raising funds

  • Redpanda, an SF-based data streaming startup, raised $100m in Series C funding from insiders GV, Lightspeed Venture Partners and Haystack. Link
  • Patented.ai, an SF-based provider of IP software, raised $4m in pre-seed funding led by Baseline Ventures. Link
  • Rubber Ducky Labs, an SF-based operational analytics platform for recommender systems, raised $1.5m in seed funding. Bain Capital Ventures led, and was joined by Cadenza and YC. Link
  • Celestial AI, a Santa Clara, Calif.-based photonic fabric startup, raised $100m in Series B funding from IAG Capital Partners, Koch Disruptive Technologies and Temasek. Link
  • Speakeasy, an SF-based API infrastructure startup, raised $7.6m in seed funding. GV led, and was joined by Quiet Capital, Firestreak Ventures, Flex Capital and StoryHouse Ventures. Link

M&A and Private equity deals

  • ThoughtSpot, a Palo Alto, Calif.-based business analytics company valued by VCs at $4.3b, agreed to buy Mode Analytics, an SF-based business intelligence platform, for $200m in cash and stock. Mode had raised over $100m from firms like Valor Equity Partners, H.I.G. Growth Partners, REV Venture Partners, Atman Capital Partners, Founders AI, Foundation Capital and Switch Ventures. Link
  • BCM One, a New York-based portfolio company of Thompson Street Capital Partners, acquired Pure IP, a London-based provider of cloud voice services. Link
